Dividido en cuatro secciones principales, este manual presenta 1) Objetivos por rgano, con una descripci n concisa de la experiencia cl nica con varios agentes dirigidos e inmunoterapias, alteraciones moleculares comunes y terapias dirigidas que han constatado su eficacia; 2) Carcinog nesis desde la perspectiva de la terapia dirigida y la inmunoterapia, como manual b sico para los investigadores del c ncer, basada en Hallmarks of Cancer, de Hanahan y Weinberg; 3) Blancos y v as moleculares, que presenta las numerosas v as celulares involucradas en la supervivencia y proliferaci n del c ncer; y 4) Agentes dirigidos e inmunoterapia, donde se mencionan el mecanismo de acci n, la posolog a, la aprobaci n por parte de la Food and Drug Administration de Estados Unidos o las investigaciones de ensayo cl nico, as como los efectos adversos comunes para m s de 170 f rmacos.
